BASWA Frost is a standard, textured finish option that is spray-applied by pump. BASWA finishes are microporous and allow sound energy to pass through to the underlaying panel which converts it into heat energy.
A two-coat finish, BASWA Frost is recommended on curved surfaces and in conditions with grazing light. Once dry, BASWA finish materials are completely inert, making them suitable in high-humidity.

Frost finishes are available in natural stone white (NCS S0500-N) or can be tinted to create a custom color or even a custom color gradient using BASWA Colors. This integral tint additive has no affect on the acoustical properties of the finish. Learn more about BASWA Colors >
While bridging paints are expressly not recommended for BASWA finishes, as they can reduce or eliminate absorptive performance, water-based paints have been used by artisans to create decorative motifs over finished BASWA systems. BASWA does not offer recommendations for any decorative treatments and highly encourages project teams to test for any acoustical performance modifications that may be caused by such treatments. Similarly, ensure that maintenance to BASWA systems over time avoids the application of standard paints. BASWA's Technical Team can guide in the proper cleaning and maintenance of BASWA finishes. Learn about cleaning and maintaining BASWA systems >
BASWA Shine is an acoustically transparent shimmer additive that can be added to any finished system. The intensity of the shimmer effect can be chosen according to design intent; ranging from a subtle effect to stunning, intense shimmer. Direct sunlight or an artificial light source is essential.
BASWA Shine is available in gold, silver, and bronze. Learn more about BASWA Shine >
