Impact Resistant Acoustic System
BASWA Basic is the newest addition to the BASWA seamless acoustical plaster system line up for room acoustics management, offering high-performance acoustics in spaces that demand an expedited system installation.
The system captures sound energy as it passes through the microporous, recycled marble finish and is absorbed into the fused glass bead panel. Sound energy that would otherwise reflect off a hard surface like concrete, drywall, or glass and accumulate as reverberation, is invisibly converted into heat energy.

System Overview
While BASWA Basic can be used in any commericial or residential space, it is designed for flat surfaces that necessitate higher impact resistance and high-performance acoustic absorption. BASWA Basic is also particularly suited for high-humidity spaces like pools and spaces, and has been tested in conditions of 90% relative humidity and 30°C (± 2°C ).

Substrate & Flexibility
BASWA Basic follows a flat, stable substrate, like standard drywall, concrete, or existing plaster. With a versatile finish options, BASWA Basic is the ideal acoustic system for flat surfaces for acoustic ceilings and walls.
Sustainability
BASWA offers sustainable, long-lasting acoustic systems to promote healthy architecture in all spaces. BASWA Basic panels contain 93% recycled glass materials, while system finishes are produced from marble aggregate, a byproduct of stone extraction, and contain 86-95% recycled content. Free of LBC Red List materials.

Choosing a Finish
BASWA's recycled marble-aggregate finishes are trowel-applied for smooth surfaces or spray-applied for texturized finishes, available in natural white stone or custom color for a highly customizable design .

Installation Overview
Process Overview
BASWA Basic panels are adhered directly onto flat stable substrates using a gypsum-based adhesive. This system has a square-edge panel design and requires no filling of panel seams while forming an acoustically monolithic surface without mechanical fasteners, perforations, or seams that typically become visible over time. Recycled marble aggregate finishes are then trowel-applied in one or two coats, in alignment with the lighting design.
Installation can take as few as 1-2 days for BASWA Basic One, and 4-5 days for two-coat finishes.

Integrating Trimless Fixtures, Sprinklers, and Access Panels
BASWA systems easily integrate with trimless fixures and diffusors, access panels, and other fixtures. During substrate preparation, all penetrations are roughed-in to accommodate the thickness of the selected system.

Humid Environments
BASWA Basic is the ideal system for use in high humidity spaces, like covered outdoor spaces, pools and natatoriums, kitchen, gyms and spas. This system has been tested in conditions of 90% relative humidity and 30 °C (± 2 °C ).
In theses environments, it is important to ensure the dew point is not located on or within the BASWA system.

Invisible Speakers
BASWA systems are often used in ceiling and walls with concealed speakers behind the finish in projects like home theaters, lobbies and permanent museum exhibits.
Speaker boxes are framed into the substrate and panels are fitted around them. After a mesh is installed to cover the speaker box, BASWA finishes coat the surface uniformly.
The result is a seamless finish with high-performance sound absorption that invisibly accommodates clear, crisp amplified sound.
